Carl-Oscar Østerlind

A Nordic conductor with a performer’s background and an international outlook, Carl-Oscar Østerlind is establishing himself on the podium, working across Scandinavia and increasingly on the European stage. He regularly collaborates with orchestras such as the Helsingborg and Malmö Symphony Orchestras and has been part of the Danish career program for conductors - Dirigentløftet.
As a cellist, Carl-Oscar Østerlind is first prize winner of the Danish String Soloist Competition and has received several awards, including the Jacob Gade Grand Prize. He has performed internationally as a soloist, chamber musician, and guest principal with leading Scandinavian orchestras, and has been a member of internationally acclaimed ensembles such as the Danish String Quartet and Messiaen Quartet Copenhagen. He is currently a teacher at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
